Vodafone says full service will resume over next few hours

Some customers are experiencing technical issues with the network today.

VODAFONE SAYS IT has found the root cause of an issue that led to problems with its mobile and data services today.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the company told TheJournal.ie: “Some Vodafone customers experienced intermittent voice and data issues earlier today.

“The root cause has been identified, a fix has been put in place and power is being restored. Customers’ full service should resume over the next few hours. Vodafone apologises for any inconvenience caused.”

In an earlier post on its community forum, the mobile giant said the problem was intermittent and affecting a small number of customers.

The company’s Irish Twitter page has been inundated with people saying they are either having difficulty making calls or logging on to the internet.
