Waterford TD Brian O'Shea won't contest general election

LABOUR TD FOR WATERFORD Brian O’Shea had announced he will retire from the Dáil at the end of this term.  In a statement, O’Shea said he had served in the Oireachtas for 24 years and felt “the time has come for me to move on”. He said he believed Eamon Gilmore had led the party to “unprecedented levels of support” and this election was the appropriate time to introduce new candidates.
