IT’S ANOTHER CLAMMY day, with temperatures reaching 27 degrees in some parts of the country, while Met Éireann has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for Northern Ireland tomorrow.

The weather warning will come into effect at 12am, and last until 11pm, some places will remain dry but heavy showers and thunderstorms could cause disruption.

For the rest of the island, the weather will continue to be “warm or very warm and humid” with sunny spells.

There’s a chance of thunderstorms later in the day as rain showers push up from the southwest in the afternoon and evening.

A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning is due to take effect for Clare, Kerry and Limerick between 3pm and 9pm.

Met Éireann is warning of possible thunderstorms in the three counties with impacts including localised flooding, lightning damage and difficult travel conditions.

Temperatures are expected to reach highs of between 21 degrees in the west of the country and 27 in the east.

Tonight, showers will continue to move up over the country tonight, with some thunder possible.

It’ll be a “very mild” night with temperatures not falling below 14 to 17 degrees.

Tomorrow is expected to start with a “good deal of cloud” and scattered showers, especially in the midlands, north and east, with some possibly heavy.

But there’ll be better sunshine breaking through again tomorrow afternoon and evening as showers ease, with highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees.
