Which would you do: shrink the Dáil, or scrap the Seanad?

All parties seem to be agreed that there’s too many politicians. Where would you cut them from – Dáil or Seanad?

EVERY DAY, TheJournal.ie‘s Face Off poll puts one of the pressing issues of the campaign to your snap judgement.

One of the biggest talking points in the current election campaign is the discussion of political reform – and it seems that all parties are, at least, agreed on one thing: that we have too many politicians in the Oireachtas.

There are two ways of getting around this – either the Seanad is abolished, as Fine Gael and Labour propose, or the Dáil is reduced in size, a measure favoured by the Green Party.

If you had to choose one or the other, which would it be?

Poll Results:

Shrink the Dáíl (361)
Scrap the Seanad (278)
