POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted on a bus travelling from Louth to Down.
The incident happened on Sunday when the woman was hit over the head with a glass bottle aboard the private hire bus. The women had to be treated in hospital for her injuries.
A window at the front of the bus was smashed in the incident.
One 23-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the investigation but was later released on bail.
The PSNI have spoken to some of the passengers on board but have appealed for any other witnesses to come forward.
