80-year-old woman struck by car in Donegal dies in hospital

The woman was injured earlier this week.

AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman involved in traffic collision with a car earlier this week has died from her injuries.

Gardaí said they are continuing to investigate the incident, which occurred on Main Street, Buncrana, Co Donegal, on Tuesday afternoon.

A car collided with two pedestrians.

The 80-year-old woman was seriously injured and died earlier today at Letterkenny University Hospital. 

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Road users who were travelling on Main Street, Buncrana, between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday, 14 January 2025, are urged to contact gardaí if they have any information or dash-cam footage.
