Yuno Energy announces electricity and gas price freezes for the winter months

The announcement comes ahead of the publication of the budget tomorrow.

YUNO ENERGY HAS announced a price freeze for electricity and gas customers until at least 1 March.

The announcement comes ahead of the publication of the budget tomorrow, which is not expected to contain energy credits.

Yuno’s bill pay service was set up two years ago and has 65,000 customer accounts.

“Today’s announcement means that Yuno Energy customers benefit from the lowest rates in the Irish market,” the company said this morning.

Cathal Fay, CEO of Yuno said that the absence of universal energy credits this winter would make customers “more price sensitive than ever”.

“The coming winter is going to be difficult for many customers and we believe that this announcement will reassure both existing and new customers that they can have predictability about energy costs for the coming months.”

Last week, Yuno’s sister company PrepayPower also announced a price freeze for its electricity and gas customers for the winter months.
