Gardaí seek public help in hunt for killers of Alan Desmond

The 37-year-old’s body was found in a field near Killinarden Hill in Tallaght on Saturday afternoon.

GARDAÍ HAVE ISSUED an appeal for public assistance as they begin attempts to trace the killers of Alan Desmond.

The body of the 37-year-old was found by children in a field near Killinarden Hill in Tallaght last Saturday night.

Desmond, of Kilclare Avenue in Tallaght, had not been seen since Monday April 29.

Gardaí are now seeking anyone who may have seen, spoken or engaged with Desmond between the last time he was seen and last Saturday, when his remains were found.

Detectives are also seeking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the Killinarden Hill area between the two dates to contact them.

Gardaí have also asked any local parents, whose children may have been in the area and seen any unusual or suspicious activity, to come forward.

A family liaison officer has been appointed to the Desmond family.
