Appeal for witnesses after pensioner assaulted and robbed in Kilkenny

The 86-year-old woman was attacked yesterday morning.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after an elderly woman was assaulted and robbed on the street in Kilkenny City.

The 86-year-old woman was walking on College View, Walkin Street at around 11.30am yesterday morning when she was attacked by a man.

A man in his thirties has been arrested and is being held at Kilkenny Garda Station.

The woman is in a serious but stable condition in St. Luke’s Hospital.
