POOR CNN. YESTERDAY they reported that a man in the London Pride parade was carrying an ‘ISIS flag’ through the crowds, when it was, in fact, a flag with pictures of sex toys all over it.

The newsreader described it as an “unnerving sight”, before getting the channel’s international assignment editor Lucy Pawle, who snapped pictures of the offending flag, on the line.

Pawle described the man carrying it as “quite distinctive from the rest of the crowd” and said it was a “clear attempt to mimic” the terror group’s flag.

If you look at the flag closely, it’s clearly not Arabic, in fact it looks like it could be gobbledegook.

As Buzzfeed has pointed out, on closer inspection, you can see the Arabic on the flag has been replaced by pictures of dildos and butt plugs of different shapes and sizes.

The headline is still available in a search on the CNN website but the actual story has disappeared. They are now also referring to their own staff member as a ‘bystander’. Awkward.
