Woman arrested after cocaine seized in Lucan raid last night

The 20-year-old has since been released from Garda custody without charge.

COCAINE WAS SEIZED yesterday evening during the planned search of a premises in West Dublin.

Gardaí at Ronanstown found two kilos of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €140,000, pending analysis.

A young woman was arrested at the scene at around 7pm.

The 20-year-old was held at Ronanstown Garda Station but has since been released from Garda custody without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The search was part of an on-going intelligence led operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in West Dublin.

Gardaí said that drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
