Man in 30s hospitalised, two youths questioned after Cork city centre assault

The man has been taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

GARDAÍ IN CORK are investigating, after an assault in the Winthrop Street area of the city this afternoon.

A man in his 30s has been taken for treatment to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are described as ‘not life threatening’.

Two male youths have been arrested, and have been taken for questioning to the Bridewell Station.

The assault happened at around 4.30pm this afternoon, a garda spokesperson confirmed.
