Disney is taking on a counter-terrorism intern

The company is looking to recruit someone to work on “threat assessments”.

THE WALT DISNEY company is recruiting an intern to work at its headquarters in Burbank, California, from spring 2016.

But if you thought the position might involve mixing with the likes of Mickey Mouse and Snow White, this job description will probably come as a bit of surprise.

According to the notice, first picked up by The Independent, Disney is looking for a “global intelligence analyst” to join its “counter threat” intelligence support team, which provides the company with “strategic intelligence, threat assessments and vulnerability mitigation strategies”.

The department also works on “in-depth analytical products covering existing and developing threats that include counter terrorism, physical threats, cyber-attacks and all reputational risks”.

The intern’s job will be to “assist in the collection and production of timely, accurate and relevant intelligence/counter threat assessments”.

And the required qualifications are pretty basic: applicants should be able to use the internet as well as Microsoft Office, though a second language and international work experience are listed as “preferred”.
