IRELAND’S LATEST EUROMILLIONS winner bought their winning ticket in Dublin.

The National Lottery have confirmed that the €86.7 million winning ticket was sold in the Dublin and the ticketholder has already contacted them.

Friday night’s €86,732,923 jackpot is the third largest ever win lotto win in Ireland.

There was much speculation over the course of the weekend about where the winner or winners were from, but the National Lottery has this evening said that the ticket was bought in the capital.

No other specific location has been given but the National Lottery  has said that the ticketholder has made contact with them “and is looking forward to collecting the prize”.

Apart from the jackpot win, 59,000 players in Ireland won a cash prize in Friday’s draw, including one player who matched five numbers to win €35,654.

Last June, Ireland’s second largest ever ticket was also sold in Dublin when Mace in Beaumont sold the €94 million winner.

Limerick’s Dolores McNamara continues to hold the record for the largest Irish EuroMillions win of over €115 million in 2005.
