25-year-old woman dies in Donegal collision

The incident happened at Glebe, near Buncrana, just before 11pm last night.

A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has died following a traffic collision in Co Donegal late last night.

The two-car collision happened just before 11pm at Fahan, near Buncrana.

The young woman was driving one of the cars. Her body has since been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH).

The second driver, a man aged 20, was also injured and taken to LUH.

His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The man and woman were the sole occupants of the two cars.

The road at Fahan remains closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination. Local diversions are in place and the road is likely to remain closed for the most of today.

Gardaí have asked that witnesses to the collision contact Buncrana Garda station on 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
