WE’VE BEEN THERE; the schoolbag, the uniform, the confusion between a corridor and a caravan (just me?).
Today, primary school students around Ireland started back for another year and that meant another back of junior infants.
With that, came tears, tantrums and separation anxieties. And that was just the parents.
Little Kyra Duncan wasn’t happy about her first day of school today at Gardiner Street School on Belvedere Court in Dublin.
She didn’t want to leave her mam.
Like, really didn’t want to leave.
But then she found a new best friend in Ellie Ledden and all was right with the world.
Also making friends were Lucy Molloy and Yifei Daniel Xu as their new teacher Ms Beakey looked on at Central Model Infant’s School in Malborough Street
Noemi Clim got some reassurance from sister Ozana
But still found the whole thing a little overwhelming
Kierra Cundapah wasn’t sure about this school stuff until her teacher Ms O’Connor showed her some toys
Temuujin Tungalag really just wanted to be left to play
Lennix Hassett was altogether more upbeat as he arrived with his parents Derek and Charmaine
And Emily Cai looked on as brother David started his school life
