Five to be charged over 'large-scale' series of burglaries

The five are part of a group of nine Romanian nationals arrested in Dublin during a series of raids on Friday morning.

FIVE PEOPLE WILL appear in court tomorrow and are expected to face charges over a series of major burglaries in Dublin.

It’s believed the five will be accused of burglary, criminal damage and handling stolen property at Dublin District Court tomorrow morning. They are part of a group of nine people arrested early on Friday morning by officers probing the crimes, which gardaí described as “large-scale”.

Seven males and two females, all Romanian nationals, were taken into custody.The men were aged between the mid-teens and mid-30s, with the women aged 23 and 35.

One of the females was found to have outstanding warrants, while the other was arrested under immigration legislation. Two of the group have since been released.
