Four arrested over tiger kidnapping of An Post worker and his family

The man, his partner and their 10-week-old baby were held by a gang who forced their way into their Drogheda home in August.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the abduction of a post office employee and his family in August have arrested four people in connection with the incident.

An Post worker Warren Nawn, his partner and their ten-week-old daughter were taken from their home in the Drogheda area on 1 August. A number of men, one of whom was believed to be armed, held the family in their house for hours before forcing them to move to a separate location.

The postal worker was told to take money from the West Street Drogheda post office branch and deliver it to a specific location. It is understood that over €500,000 was involved. The man’s family was released without harm later that day.

Gardaí said today that three men and one woman were arrested today a number of properties in north and west Dublin were searched. All four are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
