Operation Waste

Gardaí seize a truck that's carrying three other trucks

It’s like a Transformer, but with more tyres.

GARDAÍ FROM DUBLIN Castle’s Traffic Corps have been clamping down on HGVs and commercial vehicles that are on the roads without proper documentation.

The operation, Operation Waste, has seen the guards seize some…interesting vehicles.

Just today, they took this truck, which appears to be the HGV equivalent of a Russian nesting doll, for not having a certificate of road-worthiness.

Back in September, gardaí nabbed these three vehicles, which include a truck carrying a lorry that was carrying a van (which may have been carrying a smaller van which in turn was carrying a tiny car) and a truck that had a triple-decker bed.

The also stopped 45 undocumented TVs from reaching the streets.
