Poll: Are you worried that mistreatment of children in crèches is more widespread?

Last night’s shocking revelations in RTÉ’s Prime Time programme have brought the issue of treatment of children in Irish childcare facilities into the spotlight.

LAST NIGHT’S SHOCKING expose of the mistreatment of children in three Irish crèches has put the issue of childcare in this country in the spotlight.

The ‘A Breach of Trust’ programme detailed staff aggressively handling children, shouting at them, and fabricating entries into their daily diaries outlining what children had done that day as well as other shocking incidents.

Speaking on RTÉ this morning, Children’s Minister Frances Fitzgerald said that the culture of inspections in crèches in Ireland needed to changed after what she described as “shocking” revelations in last night’s programme.

Today, we want to know: Are you worried that mistreatment of children in crèches – as outlined in last night’s Prime Time – is more widespread in Irish childcare facilities?
