TÁNAISTE JOAN BURTON will face a motion of no confidence in the Dáil today over her decision to appoint former union leader David Begg to a state board role without a competitive process.
The Independent Alliance group tabled the vote after the Labour leader used a clause in legislation to assign the former Ictu boss to chair the Pensions Authority.
Burton, accused of “cronyism”, defended the move, saying Begg has the expertise and experience required to fill the role.
This morning, we’re asking: Do you support the no-confidence motion against her?
