there was a story from usa in the last week where a homless guy returned an engagement ring. people were so inpressed that they set up an account for donations an raised $150,000. you never know claire. welldone anyway

My mom found an engagement ring in her bag of coal she got from Supervalu during the week….she returned it to the store the following day of course but couldn’t believe it when she brought in the coal that a diamond ring fell out…..lucky it didn’t end up in the fire!!

I found a wedding ring before in my job in a very peculiar place. The owner claimed it, thank God, and sent in a letter of gratification. It was a great feeling for both parties I’d imagine. I love when things fall into place :-)

My mother lost her engagement ring on red barn beach cork, circa 1965. I recall lots of people on the beach furiously sieving sand through tea strainers as the tide came in. A manactually had found it, saw an ad in the cork examiner about he missing ring but lost the ad, moved to london, eventually got a copy of the ad and returned the ring, about a year later. Found my mum and returned the ring. And my mum returned the insurance money. people are good!

@ Claire – my friend found a ring in Lidl last week as well, were there two rings handed in?
