PSNI investigate two unexplained deaths in Fermanagh

A woman’s body was found in the Trasna Way area of Lisnaskea, while a man’s body was found in Carrowshee. It is not known if the deaths are connected.

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING two unexplained deaths in separate locations in Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh.

They are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unexplained death of a 29-year-old woman in a house in the Trasna Way area of Lisnaskea.

They said an ambulance was called to the scene at around 7.30 yesterday evening.

Detectives are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man in his 30′s in a house in the Carrowshee Avenue area of Lisnaskea, which was reported shortly after midday today.

It is not known if the deaths are connected, and police are investigating all avenues.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who can help them with either investigation to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Shock

Sinn Féin MLA Seán Lynch has said there is a “sense of shock, sadness and disbelief” surrounding the news of the two deaths.

MLA Lynch said: “This is tragic news and has badly affected the town, both people were well known and their passing will hit their friends and family hard, at this time our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
