Police believe that fear is the main reason that no one has yet come forward with crucial information regarding the murder.

Two men aged 49 and 56 were arrested in Scotland and a 53 year old man was arrested in England. It is believed all three will be brought to Northern Ireland for questioning.

The mother-of-two had been on a night out in a loyalist club at Tyndale, before her body was found beside a stream in the Forthriver area in the early hours of 8 March 1987.

In total, 14 people were arrested in connection with the murder but no one has yet been charged.

Police believe that fear is the main reason that no one has yet come forward with crucial information regarding the murder.

Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Detectives on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
