A WEXFORD FISHING village is said to be “gripped with excitement” after last night’s €2 million Lotto jackpot was won in the town.
The Mace Burrows store in Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford sold the winning ticket yesterday and store owner John Brady has said that he is in “absolute shock” at the win.
“We are a small family owned store in Kilmore Quay and this is our first big lottery win,” Brady told the National Lottery.
Brady also says that many local residents have been coming to the store already to check their tickets. The village has about 300 residents.
The €2 million jackpot win last night comes on the heels of a €2.9 million winner on Wednesday, where the winning ticket was sold in Cavan.
The National Lottery has said Wednesday’s winner has yet to contact them and is urging them to do so.
