Man airlifted to hospital after serious crash in Cavan

The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

A 44-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to hospital following a serious crash in Cavan yesterday evening.

He was driving a motorbike which collided with a car on the Cavan bypass at around 5pm.

The injured man was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital and is said to be in a serious condition.

The 24-year-old driver of the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and was taken to Cavan Garda Station.
