Man released in Macroom death probe

Gardaí are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man in Co Cork on Thursday.

A MAN ARRESTED in connection with the discovery of the body of a 42-year-old man earlier this week has been released.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of the man at house in Massytown in Macroom, Co Cork at around 10am on Thursday morning.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out but the results will not be released for operational reasons , gardaí say.

The 32-year-old man, arrested in connection with the incident yesterday, has been released.
