Two men in court over drugs haul worth €1 million

The men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, were arrested yesterday after gardaí searched an apartment and found drugs.

TWO MEN ARE due to appear before a special sitting of a district court this afternoon after drugs worth an estimated €1 million were seized in Louth.

The men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, were arrested yesterday after gardaí searched an apartment and found a quantity of drugs.

It came just one day after gardaí from the national drugs unit stopped a car in Drogheda on Friday afternoon and arrested a 28-year-old man over drugs that were found in the vehicle.

Heroin, cocaine and cannabis herb and plants were all discovered in the two seizures.

The 28-year-old man appeared in court on Saturday.

The other other men will appear before the special sitting of Ardee District Court this afternoon.
