TWO MEN ARE due to appear before a special sitting of a district court this afternoon after drugs worth an estimated €1 million were seized in Louth.

The men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, were arrested yesterday after gardaí searched an apartment and found a quantity of drugs.

It came just one day after gardaí from the national drugs unit stopped a car in Drogheda on Friday afternoon and arrested a 28-year-old man over drugs that were found in the vehicle.

Heroin, cocaine and cannabis herb and plants were all discovered in the two seizures.

The 28-year-old man appeared in court on Saturday.

The other other men will appear before the special sitting of Ardee District Court this afternoon.
