WATCH LIVE: Astronauts perform seven hour spacewalk on ISS
It might make you think your own job is a bit underwhelming…
RIGHT NOW, INTERNATIONAL Space Station (ISS) astronauts Barry Wilmore and Terry Virts are out in the vacuum of space, doing some work on the outside of the station.
NASA is live streaming the whole thing and you can watch it right here.
Today’s spacewalk will last six hours and 30 minutes in total. It is the second in a series of three that will prepare the ISS for new docking adaptors to link up with two SpaceX Dragon spacecraft this year. These capsules will bring new crew members from Earth.
The aim for the two astronauts is to finish routing a series of cables. Helmet cameras on the two men and an external camera will help you feel a little like you’re actually there, working away in outer space, instead of wherever you’re actually working.
If you find yourself wanting more, you can watch the third spacewalk this Sunday.
