POLICE IN THE UK are searching for a mum who has gone missing with her son.
Rebecca – or Becky – Minnock fled a fortnight ago with her child Ethan.
The Guardian reports that a judge had ruled that Ethan’s father should be given custody of him.
Becky fled two weeks ago, but reporting restrictions were in place until yesterday after a judge at Bristol crown court allowed the facts to be reported.
In a statement, Avon and Somerset constabulary said:
We are appealing for the public’s help to find a mother and her child who have gone missing.
Rebecca Minnock and her son Ethan have not been seen since Tuesday May 26 in the Musgrove Park Hospital area of Taunton.
Rebecca or Becky, as she likes to be known, was due to have attended a court hearing in Bristol the following day at 9am but didn’t turn up.
Concern is growing for her welfare and whereabouts and that of her three-year-old son Ethan.
Becky is described as:
Ethan is a white boy aged three, of small build with blond/fair hair and blue eyes.
Police said that Becky does not drive and regularly uses public transport. They have urged anyone who uses public transport to keep a lookout for Becky and her son.
We would like Becky or anyone who has been contacted by her or has seen her and son Ethan, to contact us, to confirm she is alright.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Somerset Investigations on the force number 101, or through its website, quoting reference MP2189/15/.
