Appeal made for information on late-night assault

PSNI officers believe that a large number of people were in the area at the time.

PSNI DETECTIVES AT Belfast’s Antrim Road station are appealing for information about an assault on a man in the Suffolk Road area early this morning.

Shortly after 12.30am, police received a report of an incident near a pub in the area.

On arrival, officers found a man unconscious, who was taken by ambulance to hospital with a suspected head injury.

Police believe that a large number of people were in the area at the time of the incident and are keen to hear from anyone who saw how the injuries were inflicted.

Anyone with information is asked to call 0845 600 8000 and ask for the CID at Antrim Road. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
