1. #AIB: Allied Irish Bank has confirmed it is to seek 2,500 voluntary redundancies as part of its plan to cut back on around €170 million a year in payroll costs. The bank currently employs around 14,000 staff around the state.
2. #OCCUPY: The Occupy Dame Street protest camp based outside the Central Bank’s headquarters in Dublin was dismantled by gardaí early this morning. Meanwhile, we’ve been checking out who made the call to dismantle the camp, which gardaí are preventing from being rebuilt today.
3. #HOWTH: A body has been discovered during the search for missing pregnant woman Anna Byrne, 35. She has been missing from her home in Dunboyne, Co Meath since yesterday morning.
4. #ONE YEAR ON: Fine Gael has cancelled an event planned to mark the party’s first year in government following criticism from Labour minister Pat Rabbitte. The coalition cabinet member had described the event as “a bit silly”.

5. #STELLAR SHOW: If you have clear skies (and a lack of light pollution) in your area tonight, you may well be treated to a show of the Northern Lights as a result of a recent large solar flare. Here are some tips for other celestial wonders to look out for tonight.
