A MAN HAS handed himself into police in London after they released a video of a woman being attacked while cycling down the road.

The footage was captured on a helmet camera and shows the man chasing her down the street. This followes her telling him not to knock her off the street and him telling her to “shut up”.

When she slows at a junction, the man can be seen approaching her and shouting at her aggressively before pushing her off her bike into the path of oncoming traffic. Though police said the woman did not require medical attention, she was left shaken by the incident and they appealed for anyone who could identify the man to get in touch.

Today police confirmed that a 33-year-old man attended Bethnal Green police station yesterday afternoon and identified himself as the man shown in the video.

He was not arrested but police said he will be interviewed by officers in due course.
