Appeal for witnesses after death of 30-year-old man in crash

The man’s car collided with a wall on the Newtown Road in Wexford at 5am this morning.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a collision in which a 30-year-old man was killed this morning.

The man’s car collided with a wall on the Newtown Road, Wexford, at 5.05am today. He was removed by ambulance to Wexford General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí said the road has been closed for a forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.

They are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have been on the road in the early hours of this morning to contact them in Wexford on 053 9165200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
