GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a woman in her 80s was killed on the roads.
The woman was killed on the N20 at Ballynabanouge, Croom at around 7.15pm last night.
The 82-year-old female pedestrian was fatally injured when she was struck by a car as she crossed the road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
