21-year-old woman killed in Galway crash

Her car collided with a wall near Tuam last night.

A 21-YEAR-OLD WOMAN has been killed in a road accident near Tuam, Co Galway.

The woman was fatally injured when her car lost control and collided with a wall at Ardskeamore in the Corofin area. The accident happened at around six o’clock last night.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body taken to University College Hospital in Galway city. There was nobody else in the car at the time.

The road, a minor route between the N63 and Corofin village, remains closed at present as garda forensic officers examine the scene.
