1. #MONEY: The HSE gave €41 million to the Rehab Group and €16 million to the CRC last year as part of its grants given to all the hospitals and health agencies operating in the State, according to figures released today.

2. #LOCAL ELECTIONS: The date for the local and European Parliament elections has been set for Friday 23 May, the Government has announced. A total of 949 councillors and 11 MEPS will be elected on the day.

3. #COURTS: A number of cases before the Court of Criminal Appeal may have to be reheard after a High Court judge fell seriously ill. Chief Justice Susan Denham said Mr Justice Michael Hanna had been involved in a number of cases where no final decision had yet been made.

4. #STARDUST: The Minister for Justice has ruled out another inquiry into the Stardust fire, despite families of victims claiming to have uncovered fresh evidence.

5. #RICH: Facebook’s chief operation officer Sheryl Sandberg has become one of the youngest billionaires in the world at the age of 44 after shares in the social media giant closed at a record high.
