OSAMA BIN LADEN personally financed the planned new terrorist plot which was uncovered last week, according to a German-Afghan terror suspect.

Ahmad Sidiqi told his interrogators that Bin Laden both approved and planned to finance the attacks. Sidiqi said Bin Laden travelled to the Pakistani city of Mir Ali in April to discuss possible attacks on several European countries including France and Britain, reports Der Spiegel.

Sidiqi, an Afghan-born German citizen, was arrested by American soldiers in July and is being interrogated at the Bagram US military base. Sidiqi has said he fought in Afghanistan and the latest terror warning issued for Europe and the US was based on information garnered during his interrogation.

“It is unclear, however, just how serious Sidiqi’s statements are. US authorities consider him to be credible, but German investigators are more reserved. A delegation of German foreign intelligence officials is seeking to interview Sidiqi as soon as possible in order to assess his statements.”
