DOING PRESS INTERVIEWS is a big part of your job when you’re a politician… but it’s probably good to make sure you know when you’re doing a live chat.

Spare a thought for the Scottish Education Minister Angela Constance, who appeared on a BBC politics show yesterday while under the impression their chat was being pre-recorded.

She discovered her mistake when she said ‘twenty thousand and twelve’ instead of 2012, and asked if they could start over.
