Appeal for information about bodies found in burnt-out car near Dundalk

The bodies of two men were found in a burnt-out car near Dundalk in Co Louth a week ago.

GARDAÍ HAVE RENEWED their appeal for information about the circumstances of the two men whose bodies were found inside a burnt-out car near Dundalk in Co Louth last Wednesday.

The two men were yesterday formally identified as Anthony Burnett, 31, from Croke Villas in Dublin 3 and Joseph Redmond, 25, from Ballybough House  in Ballybough, also in Dublin 3.

The men both died of gun shot wounds prior to the car being set on fire at Ravensdale Park and Gardaí believe that the two men were killed as part of a gang-related feud over the illegal drugs business.

Gardaí say that both men were last seen in the early afternoon of last Wednesday, 7 March.

They said they were keen to trace both men’s movements up until the point their bodies were discovered in the burnt-out c ar at the park near Dundalk at around 11pm that night.
