Armed robbers threaten staff, take computer games

The incident took place in East Belfast last night, and police are seeking information from the public.

ARMED ROBBERS STOLE computer games and cash from a store in East Belfast last night.

The PSNI said that detectives in Castlereagh are appealing for information following the armed robbery, which took place at a commercial premises in the Four Winds area of East Belfast last night, Sunday 23 December.

Shortly after 9.30pm, it was reported that two unknown males, one of whom was carrying a knife, entered the premises and threatened staff before making off with a sum of cash and a quantity of computer games.

The member of staff was not injured but left badly shaken during the incident, said police. The men are described as being approximately 5′ 7″ tall, in their late teens or early twenties. One was wearing grey coloured sweat bottoms and a grey coloured hooded top with the hood pulled up.

The other was wearing a dark-coloured jacket and a dark-coloured hat.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact Detectives in Castlereagh on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
