Staff at Dublin store threatened with gun during robbery

The raider made off on foot with a sum of money and gardaí are now reviewing CCTV footage.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating an armed robbery at a Spar store yesterday evening.

The incident occurred just before 8pm yesterday evening at a Spar on the South Circular Road. A male entered the premises with a hood covering his face.

The raider is believed to have been carrying a handgun and threatened staff at the store, though no shots were fired and there were no injuries reported.

A witness told TheJournal.ie they saw people “run out of the shop in a frantic state” during the robbery.

Gardaí said the male fled the scene on foot with a sum of money taken from the store. They are now reviewing CCTV footage and are appealing anyone with information to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 6669400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any garda station.
