Gardaí appeal for information after four men injured during ‘public order incident’ in Co Clare

The scene was preserved for technical examination and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for information after four men were injured in a “public order incident” yesterday evening in Co Clare.

A spokesperson said gardaí responded to reports of a public order incident at Main Street, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, that occurred yesterday at around 7.10pm.

Four men (two aged in their 20s, one in his 30s and one in his 40s) sustained injuries.

However, it is understood that these injuries are not life-threatening at this time.

One of the men, aged in his 20s, received medical treatment at the scene, while two other men, in their 30s and 40s, were taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.

The scene was preserved for technical examination and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, including road users with video or dashcam footage from the area, are asked to make contact with investigating gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing and a garda spokesperson said no further information is available at this time.
