Man hospitalised after collision with garda patrol vehicle in Waterford

No garda members reported any injuries.

A MAN IN his 40s was hospitalised following a collision with a garda patrol van in Waterford City.

The collision happened at around 9.10pm last night in The Glen in Waterford City.

A garda spokesperson said a car collided with a garda patrol van and that gardaí and emergency services attended to the incident.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of non-life threatening injuries following the collision.

No garda members reported any injuries arising from the incident.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
