PARTING SHOT 

The Foo Fighters are due to take to the stage in the next half an hour for their sold-out gig at The Academy in Dublin. 

Fans of the US rock band scrambled to get tickets yesterday when the surprise show in the 800-odd capacity venue was announced. 

The band, fronted by Dave Grohl, also played a surprise gig in St James’ Church in Dingle yesterday. The Venue seats around 80 people.
