A NEW BANKSY artwork criticising the use of teargas on refugees and migrants in the Calais ‘Jungle’ camp has appeared in London.
The mural, based on the poster for the musical Les Miserables, shows a young girl crying beside a can of teargas.
It’s located opposite the French Embassy in Knightsbridge.
The BBC reports that when the image is scanned with a mobile phone, it links to footage that appears to show teargas and rubber bullets being used during a raid at the camp earlier this month.
Last month, Banksy unveiled a mural of Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple and son of a Syrian immigrant, in Calais.
It has since been vandalised with the words ‘London Calling’.
