Police in Belfast appeal for information about alleged assault on teenage girl

Police are seeking to identify a taxi driver and two women who met the victim early this morning.

POLICE IN BELFAST are investigating an allegation of a serious assault which occured in a house in the area of Templemore Avenue either yesterday evening or this morning.

The incident occurred between Albertbridge Road and Newtownards Road at some stage between 8pm yesterday and 8am this morning.

The victim is described as being in her late teens, tall, large build with shoulder length blond hair and wearing dark clothing. Detectives are seeking to identify a taxi driver who took the woman and a man in his 20s from the High Street area of Belfast to Templemore Avenue late last night.

The man who accompanied the girl was wearing a red waterproof coat and navy tracksuit bottoms.

Police are also looking to identify two women who met the victim in Templemore Avenue early this morning and ordered her a taxi or contacted the police.
