Slip Slidin' Aw-eh

Thankfully nobody was injured.

THERE WERE NO injuries, but two buses, a number of cars, a police car and even a salt truck all crashed when a hill in Montreal became iced over.

Video of the incident, which happened yesterday, shows drivers attempting in vain to avoid the crashes.

The vehicles slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and into the each other yesterday, somehow avoiding any injuries.

The video shows a bus slide into a group of cars, before being hit by a pickup truck. Another bus then hits this pile-up. A taxi manages to avoid the crash by skidding into the opposite side of the road.

A police car then spins and hits the bus with its rear end. It is then hit by a salt truck.

Local reports say that the two inches or so of snow was expected, but the street hadn’t been treated.

Witness Colin Creado told the CBC that he watched the incident from his office.

“You would have thought … they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep,” he said.
