Man and woman die in car crash in Wexford

The car they were travelling in collided with a 4×4 this afternoon.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a man and a woman died in a car crash close to Wexford town.

The car they were travelling in collided with a 4×4 at around 1.25pm on the N25 near Barnstown.

The pair were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies were removed to Wexford Hospital.

The passengers of the second vehicle were also taken to Wexford Hospital where their injuries are described as minor.

The N25 remains closed in both directions on the New Ross side of Wexford following the crash.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
